Jesse McClure meets Stubbs Removers
I received a phone call from a media company in Burnley looking for a removal company who could help them with a promotion they were carrying out for Jesse McClure of storage hunters fame.
Jesse was promoting his wham bam boxes from the Plastic box shop which are extremely strong boxes useful for storage of small items in tight spaces, they would also be good for office moves where files and computers need to be moved.
The idea of the promotion was for a film crew to make a video of the whambam boxes in action and being tested in the field on a furniture removals job.
Fortunately I had just the job in mind which was a furniture removal in Garstang, Lancashire. This was quite a large move only moving 10 doors up the street. And was booked for a few weeks in advance, this was ideal for the media company and so it was agreed that a film shoot would happen on the site of the removal taking place.
The next day we were up at 0615 but one of the lads forgot his phone and went straight to Woods bakery instead of straight to the job. he had to find out where we were by borrowing someones phone, at the bakery by which time myself and one of the other removals crew already had the grandfather clock and double bed stripped on the job for today, who was moving from a stately home in mellor to a new apartment in Lytham Quays, plus some items into storage which we had loaded first from the garage. I travelled to the bakery in Wilpshire to get the breakfasts in, then finished off loading at the job however I had the leave the lads there to finish off.
I had a funeral to attend this afternoon so travelled to Blackpool and just made the wake, back to the job and collected the removal van, dropped it off at the delivery address in Lytham and helped assemble the clock.
