Removals to storage from Poulton
I get quite a few recommendations from my friends at the golf club and this particular removals job a year ago was a difficult one mainly due the nature of the high quality furniture which was both heavy, large and tricky to dismantle where necessary. The customer wasn’t living there anymore and had moved to Esher in Surrey for work reasons but didn’t take his belongings with him as the house he bought down there needed extensive refurbishment.
He asked his friend who carries out all his building work to recommend a reliable removal company, it just so happened that he did which was us, I have played golf with him a couple of times so he phoned me asking me to pack and collect everything to store.
The first day of the move involved packing all the small items into boxes and there was quite a bit to do mainly in the kitchen. Day two was the loading into storage containers which needed two trips as it needed at least 7 containers. The next difficult task was to dismantle the larger items which wouldn’t fit through the door such as removing the door handles on the larder fridge and the dining table. After the main part of the furniture was loaded I carried on dismantling all the electrical equipment starting with the 6 x ¬†TV’s in the house, then we started to dismantle the contents of the cinema room including the screen and all the amplifiers and projector hanging from the ceiling. Adjacent to the cinema room was the gym including the very heavy treadmill which needed to be dismantled. All the weights and stands had to be moved to store as well.
