I haven’t posted for a while about the latest goings on in the removals world so I will start with a job we did last week from Glasgow. I received the enquiry from one of my regular customers in Blackpool who wanted a 3 pc suite collecting from a relatives house in Johnstone near Glasgow. I contacted one of my regular removal companies in that area who regularly travel between Scotland and London carrying part loads to various household locations en route and luckily he had a van coming down later that week.

It was also mot time for the Big removals van so here is a picture of Max repairing the top marker lights in a rather precarious position, not an easy job as once you pull the light out to change the bulb you need to put sealant round the back to stop rain getting in and giving the removals driver a cold shower.

Luckily the mot went without a hitch as I took the van in myself which can take a couple of hours due to the fact there is always a massive queue sometimes with other removal companies and man and van type vehicles. We also carried out a removals job for the owner of mahoneys builders in Blackpool which was easy enough except for a large tread mill requiring myself and Max out of the garage to get in the car and drive over to help the the two removals men to lift it on and off the removals van, thankfully this was only around the corner so it didn’t take up too much of our time.
